About

THE PROBUS CLUB OF THE HILLS is for retired and semi-retired men and women seeking friendship and activity. The Club was founded in 1989.

We meet at 9.30 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month from February through to November at the Galston Club21-25 Arcadia Road Galston.

Partners of past members are invited to attend the meeting every second month followed by lunch at one of the many clubs and pubs in the district and also participate in our mixed outings and tours.

Our monthly meeting commences at 9.30 a.m. is typically two hours, with morning tea break followed by an invited speaker presenting a talk on the subject of his or her interest and expertise. Meetings close around 11.30–11.45 a.m.

Our activities currently include extended coach tours, day trips, golf, luncheons, snooker and walking groups. We have a monthly meeting for members interested in finance and investment. The range of activities is only limited by the willingness of a member to organise other members who share his interest.

Our Annual General Meeting is held in March. Any member may nominate her or himself or another member to fill an executive position on the Club’s committee. Any member may nominate to a non -executive role in organising an activity group within the Club. We encourage new members to take an active role in the Club’s organisation. It’s the quickest way to get to know others in the Club.

Check out our activities on our website. You can seek further information by calling our Membership representative Bob Heyward by email bnlheyward@hotmail.com or telephone 0427 360 389

Join us at our three monthly meetings or maybe come along and be part of one of our activities. Then you decide whether we are the Club for you.
